Target Market PopulationsAn analysis of the demographics of our target population based on research findings

HOW THE PROGRAM HAS EVOLVED

Organizational structure of project and Consortium agencies

Our partnership with the entire community, trade schools career colleges and community businesses has linked us to an extensive and powerful communication network.

This work program took 10 years to develop, 5 years of research/surveys and years of business opportunities for inner city people. Our programs were built only on those things proven workable.  We currently have 150 Businesses as members, 200 public members, and a board of trustees comprising some of the key cultural leaders of our city. We have started the recruitment and training of families, single adults, and youth for the likeness of success of this project.

UNITY DAY

How to get to the under-served & hard-to-reach populations

In order to effectively reach diverse cultural and ethnic groups of individuals we will adopt a back-door approach – a basic who-what-where-when-why campaign on the project conception, development, and distribution coverage to increase demand for, and interest in the program. Our outreach to churches, schools, students, parents, and the community in general, will attract participation.

The strategies and approach to outreach and enrollment to be tested will come from a direct mail campaign, customer referrals, cold calls and from our trade shows

Our plans to inform families about the program will include Colleges and Universities, Hospitals and Clinics, Government Agencies, Schools, businesses, churches, Day cares, independent practices and seniors and disabled individuals homes.

How the target population was determined

The target market population was determined through our 30 years’ experience in community outreach. TCAL is known for service in the community. Our target populations were determined by the community’s needs. We have been on TV and Radio and our listens for our “Front Page Family” exceeds 800,000.

TCAL’ philosophy and current outreach services

Our philosophy is to “To be committed to the health and economic stability of Los Angeles communities”. Crime is the number one problem in these areas, but our statistics show that, with regular monitoring, new jobs and goals, we can teach inner-city people how to start home based businesses and become self-sufficient.  TCAL collaborates with other outreach and enrollment activities to continue to serve our low-income mothers & fathers, the homeless, the teens in Los Angeles and help meet various needs.

  1. To date, we helped develop hundreds of new businesses and, through our community outreach, we have opened doors for new centers, jobs, daycare for our children, after-school programs for youth, homeless shelter for men & women and other programs for community improvement. We also network with various agencies, which assists in obtaining homes for our clients who have little income or have poor credit history, Los Angeles Regional Food bank, for food, United Way and others for moving assistance.
  2. TCAL has been involved in community outreach activities and events for five years now. Our events include: The Kings Table (Dinners for the homeless), Concerts-in-The Park Series, The Venice Beach Unity Festival and Health Fairs, among others.
  3. Our capability and resources to ensure timely start-up and implementation of proposed project comes from years of experience with event planning and operational plans and timeline procedures.
  4. There are ten key staff members, with over 80 combined years of experience in community services. Our qualification to implement the International Unity Day comes from our years in the event planning field.
  5. TCAL will mobilize the community’s support for your organization, through our advertising and events at local Colleges & Universities, Hospitals & Clinics, Government Agencies, Schools, businesses, churches, day cares, independent practices and seniors and disabled individuals homes. We will simplify the activities through our “Community Phone Bank”, which consist of our trained volunteers that answer questions that the community has about our programs. TCAL continues to be financially stable in terms of assessing environmental trends that may affect its future financial stability.

Scope of Work

Media Coverage – Media Campaign

The goal of getting over 300,000 people in one place for a two day event will make it the largest diverse cultural event in California of its kind, and will take a lot of work and planning. Our Ten-Factor Profile will be based on Sex, age, place of residence, industry, occupation, education, position, income level, career experience, and career skills needed to ensure success.

The strategies to be used to reach the target population

will includes directories to identify the prorate media. Our health programs geared toward women include ads that will go in women’s magazines. Men will be reached through business newspapers and sports ads for our sporting events. Youth and teens through schools, adult centers and children day cares.

The Talk-Out

Our weekly radio interviews at different radio stations where we interview guests live over the air. This service offers two attractive features. First, your company gets talked about over the air and second it comes from someone they know and trusts TCAL. We will also be featured in several local cable and radio programs.
